The farm is located off the beaten path on a rocky Vermont mountainside. The herd is milk tested through Lancaster DHIA and both the humans and goats are committed to improving the quality of American dairy goats for cheese production. In 2026 we will become licensed for raw milk sales.

Meryl is a graduate of the Artisan Cheesemaking program at Sterling College’s School of the New American Farmstead. She honed her skills at the Cellars at Jasper Hill. She makes cheese almost every day of the year.

John is from Atlanta and is the resident expert in Staying Calm While Baby Goats Are Being Born.

Both of them could happily eat nothing but cheese ever again.

We have simple goals for our Nigerian program:  beautiful, functional miniature dairy animals with well-supported, proportional, productive udders combined with structural traits that lead to a healthy lifetime of dairying.

In our Alpines, we strive to produce structurally sound, pasture-hardy goats who maintain their dairyness and refinement. Our ideal Alpine scores highly in both dairy character and strength, with a mammary system that can stand up to a healthy, productive lifetime in the milk parlor and show ring.

Our lines include Kickapoo-Valley, Lazy-Lady, Roeburn's, Nodaway and Chateau-Briant.

Bucks are half the herd and we try hard to choose ones who can help improve our girls and achieve our goals. Check out our Nigerian and Alpine breeding boys.
